It's very dark. Skeeter is standing watch over the tunnel that he and boy found, while boy rests. Jiro, Redmond, and Apollo have fortified the farm house. The Flyer team heads up and enters the house. I presume you relay the info on what was found to the others. Some food is found for those who are hungry. Kael, injured only a short time ago by being thrown from a horse, comes riding up to the farmhouse on that same horse, his face stony. Just outside the house he would dismount and tie the horse to a tree before walking inside. "Apollo.. Redmond," he greeted the two before taking a seat. (OOC: Yeah, I'm finally back. Did you see the flying machine and did it attack Cedar Valley?" I was just hoping that what we fear didn't happen. But it's good to know that you're okay. Phebe and I are heading to the village in case it was firebombed and people need healing. We'll be back as soon as we can. The others are inside. Why don't you go on inside and get some rest? Tomorrow's gonna be a big day. They can fill you in on what we've found." It was good to see that he was alright, but right now there were more pressing things on his mind. He wolfed down any food that was put in front of him before he spoke. "We followed the tracks for a short way, they were heading to the north east (right?). But we lost them after a short time. Sarge will probably want to know that, so that he can get sure the proper reception is ready if necessary." Do you mean ancient technology?" "Strange, that two dangerous forces surface at the same time. Can the buggems be communicated with? If so, the forces behind the flyer might have co-ordinated with them..." Who are these two? And what are you guys talking about with two dangerous forces? I mean, first the flyer.. and buggems? Is that the ant thing that I got knocked unconcious while we were fighting?" OOC: I've read through the posts as much as possible, and I have a limited understanding, albeit more then Kael. Could someone post a brief summary just for both our benefits? ICly, I mean. It was all he could do to keep up with the talk about some mysterious group and firebombs. Then Jiro asked Redmond if he wanted to invite the buggems over...what was that about? Of course Redmond wouldn't want to do that. And this new person, who everyone seemed to know, who was he? Khari thinks for a moment to recall the proper social response, then walks over to Kael to introduce himself. "I' Khari Saldee'. It's nice t' 'ake yer aqu-qu-quaintence. We been huntin' bugs, kill'd a few, an'rescued so'e folks, then we was decidin' what t' do 'bout t' holes when that flyin' 'achine crashed inna woods. Couldn' fin' t' pilot. Then we ca'e back here." "They know where we are, that's for sure." He gave a brief rundown of what happened to Kael, "We went into the hive, split up and went down two different tunnels. One group found the kids, the other found a bunch of people the buggems captured. We got out and saw a flying machine head toward Cedar Valley. It was heading back and crashed. Some of us went to look at it. The pilot left the crash, going in the northeast, but we lost the trail after a short way. He rubs his eyes. "That burst of energy from my eyes takes a lot out of me. Kael just shrugged, and was about to make a snide comment when his eyes settled on a person who could only be the aforementioned 'Phoebe'. It was.. it was her! The same person who.. Kael hurridly swallowed, turning almost a bright red before he managed to get himself back under control. The buggems have shown themselves to be smart enough to ally with some humans to make eating others easier. Just seems... odd, that's all, that two problems would appear at once." It showed in his face, but he did his best not to let it get to him. Instead, he leaned back in his chair and took a long drink from the water pouch he had brought back with him from town.
